Atlanta native T.I.
Where hip-hop rules
T.I., an Atlanta native and blazingly popular rapper, was known as Clifford Harris Jr. from the Bankhead neighborhood before his hip-hop success. The songwriter-producer debuted with the album "I'm Serious" in 2001 and has had several hits on the charts since. His notable collaborations include "My Love" with Justin Timberlake. But in the fall of 2007, T.I. was arrested in a Midtown parking lot and charged with attempting to buy machine guns illegally. The rapper subsequently agreed to a plea deal with authorities in which he would serve a year in prison after performing 1,000 hours of community service. His popularity hasn't diminished. T.I. came back with a new album, "Paper Trail," that reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
