Eagles kick off summer tour at new Alpharetta amphitheatre
Guitarist Glen Frey on stage at the Encore Park amphitheatre. Frey was involved in the now infamous faceoff with former Eagle Don Felder on stage in California in July 1980. Each spent the show threatening to beat up the other at the end. The Eagles broke up a few weeks later. Felder was with the band when it reunited in 1994 for intermittent performances, but was booted in 2001 and filed a lawsuit finally settled in 2007. Bob Andres / AJC
