After a one-year absence from the sidelines former Florida head coach Urban Meyer was named coach at troubled Ohio State in November. Meyer took over a team in turmoil after the NCAA penalized the Buckeyes with a one-year bowl ban and the loss of nine scholarships over the next three years. AP
