Atlantans take 'Porgy and Bess' to Paris
The Gershwin Foundation, which holds the opera's copyright, requires any company who takes on "Porgy and Bess" to be African-American, following the wishes of composer George Gershwin at the 1935 world premiere. Tim Wilkerson
